They should not have put Carter in the corner

Yes, they "arranged" the former presidents by order of their service, but because papa Bush is in a wheelchair, it appeared as if Carter was delegated - again - to the corner.

I think that this was observed when all of them were invited to the White House by Junior, after Obama won in 2008.

Yes, it was in a bar filled with Democrats (his grandson's victory party), but regardless... I drank beer with Jimmy Carter.

Between his biological and his "adopted" sons.

In this picture they are not that close together, but in others - which I could not find - it was jarring. To me, at least.

Why are you assigning intent and motives to someone else's post when it's clear that all they wanted was for an honorable person, former President Carter, to not continue to be treated as a second-class President. I don't see anything in their post that indicates a disdain for GHW Bush or the desire to put the guy in the wheelchair in a corner.

Apparently assigning you motives that were not there wasn't enough for them. According the message on their Transparency page they were banned because: "Troll, Made inappropriate comments about the rape of a disabled, 13-year-old girl."

Being snarky about rape is not tolerated here on DU.

I prefer to view DU as a place to debate and to learn and, of course, to pose questions (ha..)

Thus, I prefer to respond to individuals commenting on my post - if it is worth responding - or otherwise ignore - not responding.

I have never put anyone on an "ignore" list, not even during the high voltage days of the 2008 primaries, though I did "alert" sometimes. This was in the old DU, before the current jury system.

Thank you for caring and sensitivity.

Carter doesn't give a shit. He can't bear Dumbya, distance was good. And the corner is a good defensive position--makes it harder to stab a person in the back...

You would guess they were closer to the Clintons' ages instead of the GHWB and Barbara Bush's age. Rosalyn always looked very pretty - and still does in her 80s.

Barbara Bush is 87 making her younger than Carter. Both Bush and Clinton are 66. I will say Carter clearly looks older than either Bush 2 or Clinton but he looks much younger than Bush 1 who looks very frail. Of the lot, though, Rosalynn looks the best for her age. It is close to impossible to think she is 85. I would easily buy her being 70.

You have no life outside DU, it seems, since you spend your time categorizing posts according to your perception of dumb.

Will you recognize a wise post if it hits you in the face? Are you sure?

And do you really think that others really care what you think of them?

Perhaps a walk outside may offer some change. Spring is finally here.

Still, I was thinking of the Nixon funeral where all former and current (Clinton) presidents were. This was a tricky situation for Clinton to eulogize him.

Then, too, there were also five of them: three Republicans - Ford, Reagan and papa Bush - and two Democrats: Carter and Clinton.

So this one was a nice change: two Republicans and three Democrats.

and your post is a living proof why it should have never existed.

Used by individuals who have nothing better to do than be mean... or "go after" certain individuals, or just used because someone got up the wrong side of the bed, or fought with a co-worker (if one has a job) or with a spouse (if one is married). All this, five days after the the original post.
