PPP: Colbert Busch leads by 9 against Sanford in SC-1

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2013/04/colbert-busch-expands-lead.html

Colbert Busch expands lead

PPP's newest poll on the special election in South Carolina finds Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch expanding her lead to 9 points over Mark Sanford at 50/41. Green Party candidate Eugene Platt polls at 3%.

Colbert Busch's lead is on the rise for several reasons. She has a 51/35 advantage with independents. She's winning over 19% of Republicans, while losing just 7% of Democrats. And it also seems that after last week's revelations about Sanford that a lot of GOP voters are planning to just stay at home- while the district supported Mitt Romney by 18 points last fall, those planning to turn out for the special election voted for him by only a 5 point spread.

be a liberal, by DU standards. As a businesswoman, she'll probably lean conservative because this is a very conservative district. Let's see how quickly she gets tossed under the bus. Green Party 3%? Sounds about right.

I don't care what the polls say, and I'm a huge believer of polling results.

My God! Come on all you S.C. republicans, what does it take? All you good Christians trying to foist your "biblical morality" on everyone else and you will still vote for this creep Sanford. What a bunch of hypocrites. I cannot believe that Colbert is only up by nine points.
I guess it should come as no surprise. In Missouri Todd Akin of the "illegitimate rape shut down" fame and still got 37 percent of the vote in the last election. Somethings I will just never understand. Maybe that's a good thing.

Yes here in South Carolina, folk don't like "uppity women" like Elizabeth Colbert Busch. Since Jenny Sanford filed a complaint against Sanford for trespassing, it seems that his approval ratings have gone up. for some dumb fuck reason they sympathize with him. If you want a real laugh, check out his full page ad in the Charleston News and Courier newspaper. He compares himself to William Travis at the Alamo. Yikes.
My heart is with with Elizabeth Colbert Busch, but these red neck goat fuckers will vote Sanford in. Shit you could put Pol Pot on the ballot, stick an R beside his name and down here, they'd vote for him because he "stands up for what he believes in and won't vote for unions."

elected to the Governorship of this state. He took an oath to the state to serve when he
was sworn in. He abandoned the office of
Governor, lied to his staff as to where he was going, abandoned his wife and
his children on Father’s Day to fly to his harlot, using State tax money. He violated a court order to “watch the Super
Bowl” with a son who he had abandoned to fly to Argentina to meet with his
paramour.

However, having said what I have, it would not surprise me
if the people in the state of SC (I am one) went charging up the Appalachian Trail to vote
for him as he has been “forgiven.”

The height of his arrogance is unbelievable!
