Howard University students eat Rand Paul's lunch and send him home hungry.

I love college students. They wasted no time in dissecting Paul's meme about the 21st Century Republican Party being the best thing since sliced bread for black people based on what the 19th Century Republican Party did. And then he pulled a Rick Perry trying to name drop the first black senator and blanked on the name Edward Brooke, which he managed to render "Edwin Brookes" after prompting from the audience. Note to politicians everywhere: If you are going to name drop, at least make sure you correctly remember the name you are dropping.

Compounding the agony, he went on to question whether the audience knew that the NAACP was started by Republicans? The audience didn't take the patronizing well.

“Yes,” several could be heard grumbling. “Of course they would,” one woman informed him. Paul dug himself in deeper. “I don’t know what you know,” he said.

If Paul runs in 2016 he may make the 2012 Clown Show look like an academic seminar.

give him credit for at least having the guts to speak; I can only imagine how awkward it felt to announce your opposition of parts of the CR Act, and then go on to speak in front of a black audience. Rand was basically going into the Lion's Den with a sausage necklace on.

Going in front of a hostile audience and sticking to your guns is one thing. Doing it to name drop and be condescending is something else entirely.
