There is a really, really important nomination hearing today in SJC

I totally understand the significance of the DC Circuit in terms of the cases it hears, but i don't see why SCOTUS nominees somehow need to come from this court....If Sinaivasan gets confirmed, wouldn't it make sense to keep him on DC Circuit and if a Supreme Court seat opens, take someone else....I mean, its hard enough to fill the DC vacancies...

If President Obama is real fortunate, he'd have 2 more SCOTUS openings before his 2nd term is up....I think there can be 2 great candiates from another Circuit court, District Court, academia, or even a politican...No need to take someone from the DC Circuit, which will only open up that seat again, and probably won't get filled....
