that is just more of the same Kabuki theater.

He's playing a game, and he is arrogant enough to imagine that he will always win. What happens when the damned Republicans accept the cuts to Social Security, Medicare, etc. when he next offers them up in a 'grand compromise'? What then?

Soc Sec does not contribute to the deficit.

now and into the future makes me sick! S.S. is a Democratic party legacy, and even the rightest of wingnuts rely on it. All the speculation and worry over what will happen is just plain evil. There aren't many days I'd like to go back go, but the days of the "third rail" are sounding more and more appealing.
