I hope this backfires on Putin.

I hope there is a revolution to overthrow the rich and right-wing fuckers in the U.S., and it ripples across the world and into Russia, and Putin's ass is thrown out into the streets of Moscow to rot on a park bench.

Period. End of sentence.

How is it taken? And the lack of First Amendment freedom there and the powerful nature of a dictator mean that what people will say is colored by their situation.

Though we have a new pResident in the executive office, don't forget about the deep government. There are people who are career professionals and work through many political administrations. Putin won't fall off the radar.
