William Kristol, "We are so screwed".

No he didn't use those words but Mr. Kristol isn't getting any Matthews like "thrill going up (his) leg" in today's article titled, ironically "Feeling Blue".

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/feelin-blue_634301.html

Watching Mitt Romney's victory speech in Illinois didn't reassure me about his chances against President Obama. (Watch it yourself to see if I'm being unfair.) Romney's remarks consisted basically of the claim that the business of America is business, that he's a businessman who understands business, and that we need "economic freedom" not for the sake of freedom but to allow business to fuel the economy. It's true that Romney will have plenty of time to improve for the general election, if, as seems likely (but still not inevitable!), he wins the nomination

About that "time to improve" thingy Bill, he's had 5 years to improve. Might say that Romney is learning curve impaired.

seeing that Bill Kristol is almost inevitably wrong about everything that compels him to spew from his piehole.

that would help a lot with gaining support of the Trotskyite branch of the republican party aka: the NeoCons, aka: Bush the first's "crazies" in the basement.

I suggest Romney wait until after he is annointed with the candidacy, and then suggest serious consideration of John Bolten as Sec Def, Kristol would immediately whistle up support for him.

And knowing that is more prescient than not, I am uncertain whether I should laugh at the thought or cry.

Considering that Kristol has an outstanding record of being wrong pretty damn near all of the time - he was the prime mover for the Palin pick - if he sees trouble ahead, then I'd be worried that he's wrong again.

Either way, Krystal fails.

The money spent on militant interventionism is beyond common imagination.

Kristol feeds off the money thrown at militant hysteria about the middle east and so he wants a parallel hysterical commitment from the leader among candidates for GOP nominee.

Unfortunately, Romney is nothing but a moderate.

His religion is more centered on this place in Missouri--Adam ondi Amhan--than on Jerusalem

"we need "economic freedom" not for the sake of freedom but to allow business to fuel the economy"

He's still in denial about the fact that the more money we give these people the more bonuses they give to themselves.

I've seen 35 years of pissing on the people and "you're lucky you still have a job"

I had a manager say, "and the managers will be next to go"
like they were proud to say that we were all in the same boat
getting screwed.

If you want to fuel the economy, give money to the middle class - it's a proven fact! At least we'll spend it on food and clothing

then maybe Bill is right.

However, the Republicans are now playing the "low expectations" game in the hope that it'll depress Democratic Party votes.
