Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is expected to name his running mate in the next two weeks, and while the list of contenders has changed constantly for months, most reports have now whittled the group of front-runners down to Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Susan Rice, Karen Bass, Tammy Duckworth and Keisha Lance Bottoms.
In that list is a range of opinions on Israel policy, varying levels of history with the Jewish community and multiple other X factors of interest to Jewish-American voters. Weve broken those down here in a guide (in alphabetical order) to why Biden could pick any of them from a Jewish angle.

Personally, I want Duckworth or Rice.

I love love love Tammy Duckworth. She's very relatable to me on a lot of levels. Ditton Susan and Kamala.

(7,805 posts)the "Is it good for Israel?" argument bugs the hell out of me...this isn't the 1950's...Israel has done a damn good job taking care of Israel...Netanyahu is a piece of work..let Israel deal with Netanyahu...we're not in position to give advise... we have Trump (good people on both sides)...black athletes and celebrities voicing anti-semitic tropes...David Perdue and his offensive Facebook ad...the Pittsburgh synagogue massacre and it goes on...we have enough to deal with here..Israel may be of interest to some but we as a people, we as citizens of this country have more immediate and serious concerns like surviving this pandemic and getting Trump out of the White House

(7,805 posts)ultimately the VP is Biden's choice..if I had a say, and I don't, I favor Kamala..articulate, professional, experienced, brilliant, gracious, incredibly personable, strong...and during the debates she had no problem taking it to Joe...she respects the man, she respects his story, but she doesn't fear him and I like that...
