Why More Religious Singles Are Searching for Love Online

Jen Spencer had the jitters before she met up with her date Kenneth at an amusement park in the summer of 2012. It was a first date, but they had been talking for months.

"It was exciting and relieving," said Spencer. "Once the first minute you meet face-to-face passes, it's like 'I can breath again.'"

The two met on ChristianMingle, an online dating website for Christians. The site has gained 5 million new users in the last two years.

Even though the couple didn't last past the summer, Spencer, 32, was nevertheless grateful to have met a like-minded man who shared her passion for the Christian faith.

For the life of me, I don't understand why they don't subscribe to the DU Religion Group. I've always found it to be a cozy, romantic place.

Myself, I'm surprised that nobody's sued Christian Mingle for failing to fulfill that claim. I would love to be in court when the judge tells them that they can no longer make that claim. Of course it'd be a class action suit.

Christian Mingle... smarmy outfit.

That's where I'd go for a date match. First hot date picketing some poor person's funeral.

is a disgusting lie, probably even heretical by some Christians. I don't know why they can't just say "meet people with your same religion", which is all it is actually doing, rather than saying that somehow, by paying for a website, God will help you find the one.
