(71,265 posts)So much for freedom of speech, but then again they never really had it there. I wonder what the Russian Church will say on this. IMO the Russian Church embarrassed itself by associating with Putin in the first place.

lenin was what.. 1/2 mongolion? and they ruled russia longer than the czars. we will never understand them and the complexities of their history like we think we do, and i doubt they will ever really grok us either.
russia is the 'texas' of nations. it's big, self-absorbed, weird, and polarized.
