NFLPA votes to play no preseason games ahead of 2020 season

The NFLPA membership voted on a conference call this week to not play any preseason games ahead of the 2020 regular season, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported.

The union's vote comes after it was reported that the NFL was planning on shortening the preseason from four games to two. However, as Garafolo and NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday, the NFLPA had not signed off on that decision and was planning to discuss the matter on conference calls later in the week.

The NFL believes it has the right, under the current collective bargaining agreement, to set the preseason schedule, Garafolo reported.

Around The NFL will have more on this story shortly.
