If the PGA and USGA do not quarantine the players, the majors should be cancelled as well as the not so majors.

(3,427 posts)It's played outdoors and doesn't require close physical contact with other players, so I would think the risk of transmission while playing golf is minimal. The three players who tested positive could have picked up the virus somewhere else. Of course precautions should be taken -- maintain physical distance, require caddies to wear masks and gloves, etc. -- but it seems to me that it's an activity that people can engage in safely with a little effort.
On the other hand, pro golfers tend to be Republican, so maybe some of them are not taking the virus seriously.

No activity involving others is immune.

He tested negative on Sunday morning. Flew commercial on his own. Tested positive Wednesday morning.
I don't know how they could bubble wrap that.
Tour leases a couple of 757s and everyone goes without contact in airport concourses?
I don't know.
