and AHS Alum!!
If there was any team in the NFL that didnt need to draft a quarterback, it was the Broncos: In addition to having All-Pro Peyton Manning as the starter, Denver has last years second-round draft pick Brock Osweiler as Mannings heir apparent.
So the Broncos went ahead and drafted a quarterback anyway: In the seventh round of the draft, with pick No. 234, the Broncos selected Zac Dysert, a quarterback out of Miami of Ohio.
Although it seems like a strange place for a quarterback to go, theres not much harm in spending a seventh-round draft pick on a quarterback. If Broncos boss John Elway thinks Dysert has potential, he might as well grab him as Denvers No. 3 quarterback for now and see if he develops into something more than a third-stringer some day.
In a down year for quarterbacks, Dysert was the 10th passer to hear his name called.

(29,322 posts)The #22 pro-style QB prospect coming out of high school.
Take that with a grain of salt because look at #1 then look at #4 http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-1818
I don't think it's a bad pick.

(64,931 posts)Small school, but they did run a pro-style high passing offense in HS. I knew his dad and uncles.
I think he has potential, but he will need to get some real experience, more than just mopping up.
