Love this day.
I know the 49ers' immediate needs -- Safety & TE -- but I'll take an impact player on the defensive line if available, or trade up. Justin Smith is getting old.
Raiders: They need bodies, and could trade their #3 for more picks.
Browns: A good exorcist. Demons, you know ...

(29,322 posts)that EJ Manuel was the first QB selected. Surprised since experts had either Geno Smith or Barkley going ahead of him, not surprised because I feel EJ Manuel is one of the best QB prospects if not the best. I was hoping Arizona to select him in the second round.
Buffalo also made a nice move in trading down to get him while snagging a second round pick from STL.

(20,365 posts)Was he injured? Why was he in the second round? It says that he is the only person to score TDs in three Rose Bowls.

(20,365 posts)"I'm going to do everything in my power to keep the program successful," Ball said via a teleconference with media covering the Broncos. "It's a blessing because I grew up watching the Broncos.
"The Broncos have been my favorite team ever since I started watching football. To be part of this family is something very special."
A native of Wentzville, Mo., Ball tied Barry Sanders' NCAA single-season mark of 39 touchdowns in 2011, including 33 running.
Ball said he grew up idolizing Broncos great Terrell Davis.
"I watched all his moves," Ball said."It's really crazy right now thinking I'm going to play for the Broncos."

(32,013 posts)Packer fans wanted him but we got Lacey instead (also a great pick as far as I'm concerned). Denver should be strong this year.

(31,133 posts)the 49ers got everything on the shopping list, and then some.
I really like the picks of Stepfan Taylor, Honey Badger(despite whatever personal issues--mostly weed-- he may have), and have read mostly good things about Jonathan Cooper and Kevin Minter.
