Fourth-Quarter Surge Lifts Heat to 2-0 Lead

<snip>

"Dwyane Wade scored 21 points, LeBron James finished with 19, and the Miami Heat used a 12-0 run at the start of the fourth quarter to beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 98-86, on Tuesday night. Host Miami took a 2-0 lead in the teams’ first-round series.

Chris Bosh, Shane Battier and Chris Andersen each scored 10 points for the Heat, who led by 68-65 after three quarters but needed less than three minutes at the start of the fourth to widen the gap to 80-65.

Ersan Ilyasova had 21 points for Milwaukee. Mike Dunleavy scored 16, and Larry Sanders added 14. The Bucks’ starting guards, Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, combined for 15 points, two days after combining for 48.

James is 10-0 when his teams have a 2-0 series lead, and Wade is 8-0 in that situation. Game 3 will take place Thursday in Milwaukee.

The first 2 minutes 22 seconds of the final quarter made the difference in Game 2. Andersen started the run with a 3-point play, James made a layup and Norris Cole sank two free throws. Another basket by Andersen, off a pass from Ray Allen, made the score 77-65. James found Cole for a 3-pointer that capped the flurry and gave Miami a 15-point lead."
