Normandy Invasion is kinda my wiseguy horse.
Little info on Orb: http://www.paulickreport.com/features/bullet-train-presents-derby-dreams/bullet-train-presents-derby-dreams-orb/

(6,335 posts)I like Black Onyx for the name, Vyjack because he was cheap, Normandy Invasion for the name, and Rydilluc (despite the unpronounceable name and I don't think he has any points yet) because he's out of Md'O and is said to be a real handful.
Fun for me

(6,335 posts)Who doesn't love a last-to-firster? I felt bad for "Uncaptured" - commentators saying he looked "thin and little."

(29,462 posts)My first choice is the name....gotta be something Irish, or lucky something along those lines, or they have to be a gray color. I'll check out which ones fit those criteria.

I didn't see Golden Soul coming at all. Other than that, I didn't do too badly.

(4,069 posts)Good race, great ride, good time on that track.
Great for Shug, too.
"And so, when someone asked McGaughey if there was a right way to run a stable, Ogden Mills "Dinny" Phipps interjected, "Can I answer that instead of Shug? He does it the right way."
Asked to explain the "right way," Phipps didn't hesitate.
"Take your time," he said. "Let the horse bring you to the race."
It couldn't have been tougher for McGaughey to do it that way, but for once, it didn't matter. The right way is the only way he knows."
Ahhhh Kentucky, the corn is full of kernels and the Colonels full of corn.
