http://gossipextra.com/2013/04/02/andy-enfield-usc-leaves-florida-gulf-coast-2447/Three days after Florida Gulf Coast University was bounced from the NCAA basketball tournament, coach Andy Enfield is taking his talents, and hot wife, to LaLaLand!
Enfield, 43, signed a six-year contract to coach the University of Southern California Trojans, according to a statement put out last night by the Los Angeles school.
The deal is rumored to pay Enfield, who took the Fort Myers college from anonymity to NCAA basketballs feel-good story of the year, more than $1 million a year.
I guess the rich gotta get richer. I thought he was in it for the love of the game!

(29,322 posts)You have better facilities, recruits, resources, and chances for tournament appearances at USC. Most coaches in very small conferences that only send about 1 bid due to automatic would get out of that dead end as soon as a better opportunity arises.
Butler and VCU are in one of the top 10 conferences so their coaches are more willing to stay, such as they did when both coaches turned down UCLA's offer.
Edit - I forgot that he was a millionaire when I posted this. Everything besides they money aspect still applies when looking for better opportunities in coaching.
