Mom Who Had Baby Snatched Away By NYPD Released From Jail




However, Jazmine Headley's legal battles are not quite over yet as she is still being held on a warrant out of New Jersey.

According to Scott Hechinger, Dir. of Policy at Brooklyn Defender Services, a judge has ordered Jazmine Headley to be released from jail without a bond.

According to the article, Ms. Headley's child is currently with family members.

I saw the video very early this morning and disgusted by the black officers and other black security so-called peace officers, especially women involved. I'm so glad they were put on leave.

As far as Headley's warrant in New Jersey, I've read that Lisa Schreibersdorf, executive director and founder of Brooklyn Defender Services, said Tuesday that her office will be arguing a special motion to have Headley released on the matter from New Jersey. I don't know if Schreibersdorf has a good argument but it sure seems strange that she was arrested twice on that warrant and was free until this incident. As of now, the NJ judge who issued the warrant has not returned any calls as to what he will do.

Any attorneys here have insight on this kind of warrant?

At least she now has an attorney. I'm hopeful that she'll now have the resources to prove her case.

On an unrelated matter, I absolutely adore Josephine Baker. In French class (elementary and middle) , I always chose to be called by Josephine . She was truly a beautiful, black, badass boss.

Now it makes sense and I'm hopeful, too, that she has a good case. I just hope that the baby will recover completely from the brutality.

Yes, I was absolutely fascinated by Ms. Baker's life and she was my inspiration to be fearless and to travel. I remember as a girl, her last concert after years away from the U.S. was such a huge deal and a clip was shown on 60 Minutes or something. Then she was found in a coma and passed shortly afterward with newspapers of glowing reviews about the concert all over her bed.

From what I understand, she was the only female speaker at the March on Washington. And after Dr. King's death, Ms. Coretta asked Ms. Baker to lead the movement. I adore her, too, spiceysista, and hope that she'll always be remembered not just as a glamorous woman but also a fighter throughout her life against anti-blackness. But her fun and beautiful side keeps me going, too

Her story has always called to me. Even as she was considered to be too controversial and thusly shunned by other leaders, Mrs. Coretta Scott King (another fearless example of leadership personified) did not shy away from her.
Josephine's accomplishments are a legacy of courage and determination. She even taught herself Pointe technique as an adult! My goodness!
