tone-deaf, although I will give at least some of his supporters the benefit of the doubt because so many still seem to be very wet behind the ears.

that so many, on a political message board, (i.e., a sign of political engagement, or at a minimum, an interest in political engagement) would appear wet behind the ears.

I mean ... I could understand folks in the wild; but, how does one spend so much time on a political message board and NOT know the political process.

No ... I suspect that for some, the rules just don't apply to them ... but only if the rules don't work in their favor.

sums things up in a nutshell.

This is exactly what GOPers believe and how they act. I am beginning to have real difficulty telling the difference between them and some who style themselves "progressive" here.

By the way, I have begun to hate the term "progressive" and have stated before and will state again that the term "liberal" was good enough for JFK, RFK and many like them whom I admire - so "liberal" is good enough for me. Moreover, if being "progressive" means believing and acting like some of these spoiled products of privilege, then I never want to be.

of cr** that should never have been allowed here in the first place.

We will ALL miss Prez O when he leaves office. His WH era has been remarkable in so many ways and could have been sensational without the constant obstructionism of the GOP and the constant carping of those who claim to support him. I have criticized some of his policies/decisions/actions myself. But in the circumstances he was given, I'm not sure who could have a better job.

Merely electing him in 2008 went a LONG way towards regaining international goodwill after the Bush-Cheney debacle. I know for sure that neither McCain nor Romney would have handled ANYTHING as well as he has done. Bernie Sanders? Never in a million years. Hillary? Perhaps. But he has certainly left a better world for his successor to inherit than the one that he inherited.

Was he perfect? No human being is. But he's come pretty darn close in many ways, IMO. I firmly believe that he and Michelle will continue to accomplish great things together. They have done us ALL proud.

I've Seen so Many Faux White Victims Pop up on this board now that a particular candidate is looking like he may lose. No self awareness will occur with them because they can't see outside of their own bubble. It's funny to read but sad to think that is their reality.

It's like having strangers come over to your house and throwing things away they don't like.

Much like folks in that group - I too can't imagine these hides are coming from one of us.

We are all "close" enough to ask each other to take down a thread when we post something inappropriate.

What I don't see are the hosts in that group having to field bullshit SOP alerts from people with a grudge against any posters in that group.

So I guess at least their group hosts have it easy since they don't have to deal with the bullshit from people who have been blocked from this Group being trouble makers.

I'm reeling from, "If only white men could vote, Bernie would have won New York." Yikes. That's about as bad as anything I've seen here. I mean, I voted for Bernie, but I'm a woman, and I believe the will of the people - all people! - should determine who wins. It's just really disturbing that there are people actually saying and thinking that everything would be how it should be if women and people of color didn't/couldn't vote.

But I ain't holding my breath.

The irony meter is so off the charts that I too must laugh my friend.

Maybe it will eventually dawn on some or most of them that people from their group have been coming in here posting crap toward us for a year. And not just here, but all over DU!

And trashing people in the Barack Obama group since about a month after he took office. And stupidly 'lecturing' anyone who has anything good to say about his administration or his presidency.

And harassing people who have anything good to say about any democrats. Or people like me who advocate voting in local and state and congressional elections.

And just post the most vitriolic right wing racist slander over and over and over and over.

But like I said I'm not holding my breath. I've got better things to do with my time. Like have fun. And interact with people I enjoy!
