*AA GROUP* Clinton leads Sanders among black voters in Michigan 66%-14%

and also has a smaller but impressive lead among white voters in the state.

According to the Free Press poll, self-described independents and Republicans who said they planned to vote in the Democratic primary supported Sanders. But their numbers were overwhelmed by Democratic voters who backed Clinton 60%-28%.

And Clinton also appeared to have locked down much of her support. About 73% of respondents said they already were “very certain” of their choice. And of those, 67% were backing Clinton. As was expected, Clinton also has an edge with black voters, 66%-14%, but also was winning with white Democratic primary voters 55%-35% — an edge that if it held up Tuesday, could signal a landslide.

I'm not a math person so I don't get when numbers like this come out. Where are the other 20% of the Black voters in that. Where are the other 10% of the white voters. I hate trying to figure stuff like this out lol.

revealed a lot.

I like Bernie. I believe his intentions are admirable. I like aspects about both candidates -- and have concerns about each of them -- but have ZERO qualms about voting for either in the general.

But his discomfort around discussing issues of race relations beyond bringing it down to poverty and economics -- when obviously not all people of color live in ghettos and when there ARE white people who live in poverty -- is an undeniable negative in his column for me now.

I hope he and Hillary end up on the same ticket.

I didn't watch the debate but just read/watched that part and got a little sad and queasy.

I've been firmly in the Sanders corner since he announced, and this just... Come on, man, y'know?

He is a genuinely nice man, I believe. And he has integrity because (from what I have seen over the years) he is loyal to his message about wealth inequality, something I think most of us agree is killing us in various ways.

But he has been so focused on that one message that he hasn't diversified his message with much grace or ease. When #BLM interrupted the Seattle event and he stepped back and gave them the mic and met with protesters and made a few other changes, I thought he would be able to evolve as needed about these other non-economic issues.

Meh...like I said, I am okay with either of them. I'd rather they be on the same ticket because they push and complement one another where desperately needed on both of their parts.

I don't want to hammer Bernie any more than I want to hammer Hillary, but I don't think he will do any better henceforth after those comments last night.

He's curt, to the point, and rather irritated with the way things are going, but you're dead right about his focus. I hoped for very much the same where the Seattle incident is concerned, and as much as I'd love to believe he'll somehow get better as the primary season goes on... I don't have the optimism for that kind of thing.
