100 prisoners now on hunger strike at Guantanamo

AP foreign, Saturday April 27 2013

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) A hunger strike among prisoners at Guantanamo Bay keeps growing.

Lt. Col. Samuel House said Saturday that 100 of 166 prisoners at the U.S. base in Cuba have now joined the strike.

Lawyers for the detainees say the military is undercounting the number of hunger strikers.

1. I have read other sources that say Gitmo has 186 total prisoners..

The number cited in the news as being on a hunger strike has grown every day, which means these captives can communicate to each other in some way
and
means the US has a hell of an image problem on its hands.
