#at=233Something funny for all those who love self defense caliber/make arguments.
Note: I didn't watch any of his other videos, I don't know his politics. Seems pretty progressive to me with his musical ability and the use of a piano and clarinet. It's time for football practice so I can't check out any of his work.

(17,493 posts)I personally prefer revolvers for self defense as they are also very reliable. But then I'm a civilian not a cop.

(15,396 posts)The only 45 I'd ever owned was a PT145 and it jammed every 3ed or 5th shot so I never put much down the pipe. Maybe 400 rounds total, but I loved shooting it, there's just something about the feel of shooting the 45 vs 9 or 40. I sent it down the road at the last gun show and picked up a cheap shooter of a SR45 on a impulse buy (I'd went for a M&P 40, 9 or 45). I'm impressed with it so far with it's initial reliability and accuracy, thus I need to actually invest in a good quality 45. p220, M&P, maybe a 1911 since I've never owned one. So many great 45's so little time, and I need to buy and learn to reload before I can fully appreciate the 45 cartridge. It would be nice to reload 7mm-08 and 270, along with 9,40,380.

(12,072 posts)Any gun that has pulling the trigger as part of the disassembly process needs a radical redesign. I like SIG Sauer. Just as reliable and safer design.

(15,396 posts)FDE g20....super extra ugly but fun to shoot. 30 rounds later I got the right offer, since I don't reload it just didn't make sense to keep it.

(15,396 posts)However, if I'd get off my ass and order a E2 and short trigger set it'd feel better in my hand.

(7,720 posts)and that is why I don't like the Glock too much. The Glock 17 and 21 are full-sized and my little finger is off the bottom of the grip.

(15,396 posts)I got to hold a p227 a few weeks ago and then a 220. It's night and day...a 220 is on my short list of must have home defense pistols.
I did spring for a SR45 a few weeks ago. Put another 50 rounds down range this evening I like this little pot metal gun....really accurate and a good trigger. 250 rounds so far without an issue impressed for a 400 buck 45.
When I first shot the glock back when it first came out, I hate it!
Felt like holding a piece of plastic and shooting it.
But as time goes by and Glock became more accepted and the feel of the plastic grew on me just as well.
I now own several glocks g17 & g30s
would like an HK, but its too damn expensive.
