Read boards from the 'other side' about Rep DeGette

they really don't give a rip about her reusable or not magazines. The talk is about her callousness seen in this video.

I have edited out the rest of the commentary but left this for explanation

The Senior's question is garbled, as he is away from the microphone... He is asking how he should defend himself with the new magazine limits imposed...

Perceived elitism is what galvanizes voters, and typically not in a good way.

3. Politicians of every stripe need to remember they serve us, not the other way around.

We allow them to hold office on our behalf.

Most people are in the center and they are the ones who decide elections.

10. Plenty of conservatives get re-elected by strong margins

so I'm not sure how strong that argument is. And it doesn't matter how wide a margin she gets elected by, politicians need to respect the constituents regardless of party. I would think a GOPer talking to a retiree in such dismissive tones would rightly earn our ire.

11. If you are going to argue the opposite of what you posted let me know ahead of time

What's the point of talking with you when you aren't going to pay attention to what you were just saying.

First you argue she should temember who elected her.

The next post you say she should not pay attention to that.

12. I was pointing out that appealing to her re-election history was not a strong argument

And then I reasserted my original point that politicians need to defer to their constituents. I underscored my original point by noting that we would be upset if a GOPer did the same thing in what I hoped would be an appeal to principle.

I'm not sure what you're refering to when you wrote, "The next post you say she should not pay attention to that." Her election margins are no excuse for her dismissive attitude.

but laughing off a person's concern with "You'd probably be dead anyway" is not the image politicians promoting gun control really want to portray. It fits into RW propaganda that liberals are more concerned with the criminal than the victim.

13. Nah, she appears to have the same attitude and be as delightfully "well informed" ...

... as many of the posters on this board are.

If a business has to leave a state and skilled union machinist and other jobs are lost "Fuck 'em, the children will be safer".

"I don't know what a Form 4473 is and I don't give a fuck."

Yep, she's got great supporters right here.

Then, a few months down the road, when all their "gains" are in court and being overturned, it will be the fault of the fucked up wing nut judicial system, not their ill informed overreaching.
