This was a few years back. It is part of a series wherein she got that branch and then proceeded to turn it into mulch in about an hour.

I never had a dog that chewed branches. Sometimes it worries me a little; now I'll worry less. They ignore treat-filled Kong toys and Nylabones to play with leaves and those sticks all day. There are two balls in the yard, but they ignore them unless I throw one.

But I did have an Alsatian once. Someone imported her for police canine training and she didn't quite make the grade because she was too independent (and therefore unreliable for such work). The couple were splitting up and just gave her to me. She was the smartest dog I ever had. Showed great reasoning ability.

Not computer savvy enough. My Xula is not yet two years old and every day we can see her "cooking" more and more. Her temperment is evening (still alpha) and she helps "shepherd" the rest of the pack. Holy cow! what will she be capable of doing in another 2 years? Go to the grocery store?

Our girl is most definitely The Branch Manager, we have sawdust basically after she gets a hold of one.

ps. wish DU had Shepherd "smilies"
