Hey guys I need some help

I want to build some raised beds this year since I have two new dogs and they are kinda well nosy. Plus I wanted to expand. What would be the best advice for growing vegetables the best way? Mine take forever to finally blossom and grow.

1. Plastic sheeting, plastic milk cartons will help keep warmth in, if u are in a colder clime.

Carry a spray bottle and use it when the dogs get near the beds.

2. Use 2-3' chicken wire around the beds for dogs.

Epsom salt is a suggestion for bloom and veg production.

3. There are all kinds of raised beds - you can even order kits

if you don't want to build them from scratch. It's important to consider that a raised bed is a kind of container, so depending on its size and what it's made of, it might need more watering than a garden planted right in the ground. Don't use garden dirt; get some potting soil or mix. Garden dirt is likely to have plant pests. Depending on the soil mix you get, be sure you fertilize enough (look at package instructions or fertilizer instructions). If your vegetables aren't blossoming or growing, they might not be getting enough nutrients. You will also need full sun for most vegetables. Also, once they start growing be sure to thin them so they aren't competing with each other. If you have a Master Gardener group in your area they are a great, science-based resource.
