Where can I buy a Persian violet plant?

They used to be common.
I've gone in a couple of large independent nurseries in Houston and they looked at me like I was nuts.
Some websites call a lavender cyclamen a Persian violet which is incorrect.

A Persian violet is a very small bush with violet flowers.

THIS is a Persian violet:

Exacum affine, also known as German violet
all I did was search google for images of Persian Violet, then picked a correctly labeled one from a florist's site. You might try adding your city to the search to find someplace local.

good luck, they are beautiful.

Exacum affine

I found a lot of info about it. I have never heard of this site, but it shows the plant with a list of florists who "may" have it available. Tons of florists in Houston, but who knows if any offer this plant.
