Beef ribs with brown sugar and soy sauce as the marinade. Can't remember the kind of rib, but when I do, I'll edit my post.

Asparagus with rice. The rice has a kind of coconut milk flavor; I think that's what he cooked it in.

Cucumber salad with red onion, sour cream, mayo, and chopped mint.

For dessert, peaches and vanilla ice cream with shortbread cookies.

For the guys, I made homemade vanilla ice cream with chopped Heath bars mixed in.

Very easy slow cooker recipe, which I typically don't like but this was good. The recipe calls for boneless skinless chicken thighs but all I had was bone-in, which worked just fine.

who reads these threads and imagines a wonderful progressive (hey, that works two ways) dinner with all the delicious stuff DU cooks come up with?

We definitely start at Cher's for the salads, I know.

8. Smoked Gouda and Sausage Grits casserole

From a Chile Pepper magazine recipe.

Basically, bake a jalapeno cheese grits layer in a 9X13 dish, then spread a mixture of eggs, garlic, sausage, bacon, onion, mushrooms and more jalapeno over that. Then back into the oven.

9. Sounds lovely. I had Jerk Pork Tenderloin, baked potatoes and sauteed green beans with

garlic. We had leftover pumpkin pie from yesterday for dessert.

10. Sticky garlic pork chops and baked potatoes.

I saw the recipe on youtube and decided to try it out. The spuds are in the oven and I'll put the pork chops in the frying pan at 6 MDT.
