I bought a charcoal grill this week, my first solo BBQ.

And every BBQ needs music, so I have my well loved Frankie Beverly & Maze and the Patti LaBelles and a new to me artist Irma Thomas.

Plans for grilling, salmon, and assorted veggies and fizzy water with fruit peels in it.

Enjoy a safe Memorial Weekend

doing it right with charcoal communes with our ancestors and, more importantly, tastes better.

That’s just the menu my family enjoys for cookouts! My son & I love flavored fizzy water with lime slices, grilled salmon and veggies of all sorts! I think about making cornbread in a cast iron skillet too.

We have a Lodge cast iron hibachi, which is an awesome grill! I use an all natural hardwood charcoal from Publix. We use a charcoal chimney and some newspaper to start the charcoal. We’ll grill out tomorrow.

Have a nice cookout! 🔥
