I'm making lamb chops with rosemary and garlic, whipped sweet potatoes, and a big salad full of herbs and a nice little bottle of red wine. So nice to have a dinner partner!

I served the almost all of our meat and fresh produce last night (fried rice) and the weather is going to prohibit any trips to shore.

I do have a little napa cabbage and some carrots, so I could make a slaw out of that. Canned tuna? One hard salami? Beans? Jiffy cornbread muffin mix.

I could see a meal coming together around those things.

Enjoy your burgers. They sound delicious.

Helluva morning. Wind started really picking up at about 6 AM. We got stretched all the way out and were moving much close to shore. Watched for awhile, then captain decided we should get on a mooring. Spent an hour pulling up anger and trying to stay out of trouble while we waited for some assistance.

We are on a mooring now, but it's blowing like crazy out here and supposed to continue for the rest of the day.

Nerve wracking, but I feel safer now.

Be gone, winter/spring weather!

Came out like a stew / soup mix.

Broiled the chicken with a Worcestershire coating just enough to get a browned tang for the soup.

Had chicken stock simmering with a few sliced red potatoes, sliced outer peel of a white onion, smashed garlic, sliced celery.

When good and brown, tossed in the chicken, fat and all, and added the veggies, chunky -

carrots
white potatoes
onion
zucchini

added the fresh herbs -

marjoram leaves
thyme leaves
basil leaves
celery leaves
black pepper
salt

When the chicken was clear and the carrots just fork tender, covered and let set. Had the chicken and potatoes on a plate, all the rest as a side soup.

And it sounds like you will enjoy it for a few days.

Made earlier by spouse. I'm heating it up in the slow cooker.

Green salad.

Crusty whole wheat boule'.

Malbec.

I'm also roasting tomatoes tonight. Earlier in the day, I roasted plums, peppers, and one large tomato. Went to the store, and I now have big bowls full of cherry tomatoes to roast, as well as some kumatoes.

I'm never happier than when I have roasted tomatoes around.
