FREE BACON
I met a work colleague for lunch today. We went to a nearby diner as we both live in the area. I ordered a (half pound) bacon cheeseburger.
The waiter brought it . . . . sans bacon. I reminded him it was a bacon cheeseburger. He apologized and said he'd be back with the bacon. About 30 seconds later he appeared. Musta been a pound or more of (raw weight) bacon on a dinner plate. He smiled and put it down.
Most of it is in a doggy bag in the fridge. I'll maybe make a quiche.
A breakfast order of bacon at that diner, by the way, is about two bucks. It is four strips of bacon. This, today, was maybe 15 or 20 strips. I mean, a LOT of bacon.

(130,156 posts)Few nights ago I smelled bacon from downstairs apartment, moaned about it in The Lounge, kept thinking of it, and made the mistake, couple days ago, of ordering burger w bacon (and grilled onions) at Five Guys. (Have only been there for fries, for a friend.)
BIG mistake! NEVER again to Five Guys!
