U.S. Boy Scouts set to end ban on gay members : spokesperson

http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/04/19/us-usa-boyscouts-ban-idUSBRE93I0OY20130419?feedType=RSS&feedName=domesticNews

The Boy Scouts of America called to end a long-standing ban on openly gay members, a spokesman said on Friday, but the organization's board must still vote in May on whether to ratify the resolution.

If the vote is approved, "no youth may be denied membership in the Boy Scouts of America on the basis of sexual orientation or preference alone," Deron Smith, the organization's spokesman, told Reuters.

I don't believe for a minute they had a true change of heart and conscious. I believe it's all about getting back funding from the corporations that stopped the funds because of the anti-gay policy.
