My cousin is starting to come out to his family
He is the youngest of 6 kids in a Mormon family and I had always figured he is likely gay. Given our age difference I think if him more like I would a nephew than a cousin (he is in him mid 20's vs my 45). He had been working with one of his brothers on this, who unexpectedly passed this week. So it was at this funeral that I got to catch up with him and found out he was coming out. It is such a hard road for a gay Mormon but he at least has one brother left who has rejected the church and he has me. Have to say I am proud of him. He told his mom but not his dad yet.

And a couple siblings still have some issues. LDS families are interesting in that I personally feel the fear is usually over done by the person coming out. My family was a lot better than I anticipated. If you need any advice or he needs a former LDS gay man to talk to let me know (although I'm closer to your age
