Three of the Jersey Atlantic project’s five 1.5MW GE SLE turbines were operating again by Friday, said a spokeswoman for Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA).

"The remaining two turbines should be up and running in the next few days," ACUA’s Amy Cook-Menzel told Windpower Monthly. The project, operated by Infigen Energy, is at ACUA’s wastewater treatment plant a few miles from the shore.

Matthew McGowan, Infigen’s asset management and development director, described the turbines as in "good shape".

High water levels may have caused some difficulties with data relay from the substations on site and with the electrical connections, said Infigen.

Reports say deaths from Chernobyls radiation have reached hundred of thousands and continue to climb. If a disaster will happen, there is very lil you can do. Radiation can not ve contained, it travels through the atmosphere on thousand of miles.

It's something I am still working on. I had nightmares for years after Chernobyl. Sometimes I just start crying when I remember what happened.

Two days after the reactor disaster, the nurses came to my school and gave us iodine pills to help against the radiation. But only children got them, they didn't have enough for the adults. So many perished from tyroid cancer in the years after ... :'(

People were left behind, with Search and Rescue unable or unwilling to enter certain areas due to radiation, or the threat of radiation.

Some people didn't make it as a result of that. Not killed by the radiation directly, but indirectly.
So I wouldn't wave that flag too proudly, if I were you, even though I generally agree that nuclear is far cleaner and better than any fossil fuel.
