Disclaimer: I am trained in energy technologies and conservation and efficiency strategies and support wind, solar, and energy storage but more than anything support just using less, consuming less of everything.

I started watching this expecting to hear conspiracy theories but was pleased to see how the creator explains what is termed the "nocebo" effect, that people are susceptible to misinformation campaigns, regardless of how sincere the creators may be.

Filed in the same category as 5G, Smart Meters, How Hummers are more benign than a Prius, and other evil technologies.

I had never heard of a NOCEBO or placebo with actual negative outcomes before. But this does help explain how many otherwise intelligent people can fall for absolute bullshit.

I know in my own life that it can be difficult to overcome beliefs and points of view once they take hold. I think that I am pretty skeptical and try to be open to evaluating new ideas. But I am from the VA/WVA boarder and was taught that the Civil war was mostly about economic differences, not primarily slavery. Then just a few years ago, I came across the "Cornerstone speech" given by the VP of the Confederacy stating that the whole Confederacy was based on slavery. Paradigm shift as they say.

I have watched many YT videos of people being hypnotized. If it were not so prevalent you would think that it is not a real phenomenon. But our brains can be influenced and even programmed to see things that are not there like a shoe is a cute puppy. This might be related to this type of disease of mis-information this video talks about. Or why anyone would believe anything Trump says.

I don't think they are.

I wouldn't attribute any of my health problems to wind turbines but I do think they are damned ugly and I wouldn't want to be a bird or a bat getting pulverized by one.

I've got similar feelings about power lines. Landscapes would be much prettier without them, but I regularly walk my dogs on a parkway built beneath high voltage power lines. In addition to that, many of these power line towers are topped out with cell phone antennas. I've no fears this stew of electromagnetic radiation is making me or my dogs sick.
