Protest day as justice reform hits Lower House

http://buenosairesherald.com/article/129527/protest-day-as-justice-reform-hits-lower-house

If tensions are expected to flare inside the Congress as the Lower House addresses the justice reform bill today, the scenario outside might not be that different. A protest tent and three demonstrations have been set to challenge the government-fueled project.

Under the motto “An independent Justice,” opposition representatives -including lawmakers from the Radical Party Raúl Alfonsín, Civic Coalition Alfonso Prat Gay, Union for All Patricia Bullrich and Peronist Front Eduardo Amadeo-, launched a 24-hour protest tent right in front of Congress where citizens can approach to and get information about the project.

The first demonstration is expected to start at 11 am with Julio Piumato’s judiciary workers (UEJN union) rallying outside the National Justice headquarters in Talcahuano street.

--------------
At 5.30 pm, opposition parties will be taking to the streets also outside Congress joined by the UATRE Rural and Stevedore Workers Union led by Gerónimo Venegas.
