Rafael Correa and Pope Francis Analyze the Latin American Situation

A sincere and continuous dialogue between the Church and the State, social justice and the importance of solidarity value were among the topics discussed by Pope Francis and Rafael Correa, who is on a European tour to strengthen ties of cooperation.


The president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, was received by the Pope in the Vatican on Friday. There for 20 minutes they analyzed the situation in Latin America, respect for indigenous populations and the importance of a dialogue between the Church and the State.

Un diálogo sincero y permanente entre la Iglesia y el Estado, justicia social y valor de la solidaridad fueron uno de los temas que trató el papa Francisco y Rafael Correa, quien realiza una gira por Europa para estrechar lazos de cooperación.

El presidente de Ecuador, Rafael Correa, fue recibido este viernes por el papa Francisco en el Vaticano, donde analizaron durante 20 minutos la situación en Latinoamérica, el respeto de las poblaciones indígenas y la importancia de un diálogo entre la Iglesia y el Estado.
