Lawyers ask the Ministry of the Public to accelerate the criminal inquiry into the violence Capriles promoted
Capriles
18/04/13.- On Thursday, a group of lawyers went to the headquarters of the Public Ministry (MP) in Caracas to request they proceed with the investigations of violent acts that occurred in the country last Monday after that the losing presidential candidate Henrique Capriles, refused to recognize the results of Sunday's elections, which Nicolas Maduro won with 50.78% of the vote.
The lawyer Antonio Molina reiterated that in that violence eight Venezuelans died while 63 others were injured.
Opposition supporters also burnt Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI), Headquarters of the Food Market Network (Mercal) and Food Producer and Distributor (Pdval), HQs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), shops, little stores and businesses.
Molina said the responsibility for these events "belongs to the staff of Primero Justicia, but specifically to its head Henrique Capriles ".
Capriles, "through a violent discourse, aggressive, subversive, spurred his supporters to criminal action, which, as we all know, led to these deaths and assaults and serious crimes against public property".
...
Molina said the performance of Capriles and his accomplices "is not new, it is a format that they always try to implement", as they did in April 2002, when they participated in the coup against President Hugo Chavez .

(14,591 posts)1. Shouldn't take much of an investigation
He's on tape before the election saying he won't recognize the results and on tape afterwards encouraging his supporters to riot.

The ultimate goal of all terrorism is to strike enough fear into the hearts and minds of the people they harm that they will become paralyzed with fear, unable to move even in thei own defense. It has worked in Latin America before, but that was before the people had been hurt this deeply, this often, and weren't this unified and determined to close ranks on them.
Thank you for the news, Catherina.
