"People have died ... There will be no impunity" (TSJ)

"People have died ... There will be no impunity" (TSJ)

The president of the Supreme Court of Justice, Luisa Estella Morales, blames opposition leader Henrique Capriles for the violent events that were generated on Monday after he learning the election results.

In reference to the wounded and deceased who died as a result of the violence prompted by the opposition, Morales said that the victims "will get a response from the Venezuelan justice. There will be no impunity in this case. "

In this vein, she criticized the protest actions undertaken by the former presidential candidate of the MUD. "Why do not act responsibly and to appeal to the competent courts?" Capriles and members of his campaign "have enraged many Venezuelans".

"We as the judiciary must ensure, through all of our judiciary power, that our judges conduct their work, firmly and with dedication, especially with objectivity, because the lives of fellow Jose Luis Ponce, Rosiris Reyes, Henry Rangel La Rosa, Giler Henrique Guzman, Hender Joseph Bastardo, Luis Garcia Polanco, Joan King David Sanchez and Hernandez have to have a response from Venezuelan justice," she said.

Morales said that throughout the country there are 240 people being investigated and 75 procedures have been initiated by the events of Monday 15 April, while stressing that the judiciary is working normally.

I also notice she didn't mention the names of any Capriles supporters killed.

She should resign.
