Maduro to the US: "Don't recognize anything. Your recognition does not matter to us,"

Last edited Thu Apr 18, 2013, 01:02 AM - Edit history (1)

...

U.S Secretary of State John Kerry said Wednesday that he could not say if he would recognize Maduro as the president-elect or not.

"We think there ought to be a recount. ... Obviously if there are huge irregularities we're going to have serious questions about the viability of that government," Kerry said during a hearing of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee.

His comments drew a stern response from Maduro, who said Wednesday in national broadcast remarks Wednesday that he "does not care" whether the United States recognizes his election victory.

"Don't recognize anything. Your recognition does not matter to us," Maduro said. "We have decided to be free and we are going to be free and independent, with you or without you. Your opinion is not important to us."

...demand a 100% recount in Venezuela! Kerry, who was SILENT, when our 'TRADE SECRET' code vote counting system was spread like a plague across the USA during the 2002 to 2004 period, resulting in UNAUDITABLE vote 'counting' in half the states in the U.S. and a miserably inadequate 1% audit in the other half!

Kerry dares to criticize Venezuela's election system, which Jimmy Carter-- who has devoted his life to setting up and monitoring election systems in hundreds of countries--called "the best election system in the world."

Kerry dares to criticize and call into question an election system--Venezuela's-- that uses OPEN SOURCE programming code--code that the public is invited to review--and that employs a whopping 55% audit--more than five times the audit needed to detect fraud in an electronic system...

...while. in the U.S., 75% of the vote 'counting' is controlled by ONE. PRIVATE. FAR-RIGHTWING-CONNECTED corporation--ES&S, which bought out Diebold--using 'TRADE SECRET' code that the public is FORBIDDEN to review, with half the states doing NO AUDIT AT ALL.

An audit is an automatic comparison of ballots to electronic totals. Statisticians and other experts whom I respect have set 10% as the minimum audit necessary to detect fraud in an electronic system. Voting systems that are all-electronic (touchscreens) have NO BALLOT so they are NOT AUDITABLE. There is nothing to compare the electronic results TO. And recounts of those systems are cruel farce. But even in the "better" states in the U.S., automatic audits are generally only 1% of the votes, and recounts 3% (if you can even get a recount--the rules and money required are so prohibitive).

The U.S. does far less than is necessary to detect fraud. In fact, the U.S. system is EXTREMELY RIGGABLE. Venezuela does far more than is necessary to detect fraud--and indeed more than any country on earth using electronics, and it is virtually impossible to rig Venezuela's system.

Given these facts--Kerry's acquiescence to an extremely riggable system, here--and Venezuela's extraordinary effort to insure honest, transparent elections--it is nothing short of DISGUSTING for Kerry to pontificate about a 100% recount.

Yeah, let's have one here--huh? A 100% recount of every U.S. election from 2000 on. Let's make OUR office holders prove that they were actually elected!

It can't be done, here. But it can, in Venezuela. How dare you, John Kerry! How dare you! I'm challenging you to call for 100% recounts in the United States of America!

You know, and I know, that it can't be done!

Now would you agree with me that the CNE and Maduro should allow a recount and investigate openly the allegations of fraud?

Or are you a hypocrite like Kerry is in this situation?
