Maduro supporter killed in Venezuela protest
AFP Updated April 17, 2013, 3:38 am

CARACAS (AFP) - A supporter of president-elect Nicolas Maduro was shot dead Monday night during protests over Maduro's slim victory in a special weekend election, Venezuela's foreign minister said Tuesday.

Foreign Minister Elias Jaua said Jose Ponce, 45, was killed by gunfire in the Caracas suburb of Baruta while protesting in favor of Maduro, whose win in Sunday's election has been rejected by opposition candidate Henrique Capriles.

but her injuries were too grave

Sadly, today is the 10th anniversary of the Barrio Adentro program created by Fidel and Chavez for Venezuela's poor.

This is so revolting.

2. As the opposition says...

..."hay un camino" (there's a way).

Basically the only way they've ever known: lies, fraud, violence. We can have an idea of what this thug would do if he became president. Won't happen in this life.

4. So right! That's the only way they know, and it's stupid, as well as criminal.

If they can worm their way into the seat of power they can turn the people's military against the people, just as their idol, Carlos Andres Perez did in his Caracazo massacre, before he was impeached.

I appreciate your accurate imagery. (Would hate to hear the noise escaping from that pie-hole!)

5. Have you seen the news from Venezuela?

Have you seen Capriles asking for peace? Because I have. I was born there, my family is there. People is getting hurt and they are only asking to recount the votes . Here I am panicking , worried sick about my family ; people is posting pictures of the police, the national guard pointing their arms to people who are unarmed . They are on the floor , bleeding. No, things are not going well there. Now Maduro wants to send Capriles to jail. Really? People should informed themselves before taking sides.

7. Yeah, he called for peaceful protest, as well as called off a protest at Maduro's demand.

So he is following the law despite what some here would say.

The people here acting as if Venezuela is in a state of chaos are trying to make a false narrative up.

The protests are by and large peaceful.

I swear it's the twilight zone here because the right wing media called Occupy violent thugs and here we are on this forum calling these protesters violent thugs. Nothing changes.

8. William Bastardo, father of son killed, disputes claim he was Maduro supporter:
Wed Apr 17, 2013, 02:56 AM
Apr 2013
“The government said that the seven people who were killed were supporters of Mr. Maduro. But the father of one of those killed, Ender José Bastardo, 21, disputed that account.

The Justice Ministry said that Mr. Bastardo, a mechanic, was among a group of people celebrating Mr. Maduro’s victory in Cumanacoa, in eastern Venezuela, when they were attacked by a group that opened fire. Mr. Bastardo was killed and two other people were wounded.

But Mr. Bastardo’s father, William Bastardo, 45, said he and his son were marching in a protest against Mr. Maduro’s election, banging pots, when shots were fired from a nearby building. “I demand justice for my son,” the father said at the morgue in the nearby city of Cumaná, “and that peaceful protest be respected.”

As usual the morbid chavistas will make false and unsupported claims to support their corrupt view. I wonder how many others were falsely reported, as well.

9. "morbid chavistas?" Did you pull that out of your own body? What's your "reasoning?"

You are far too desperate to make sense.

10. Claiming a dead person as their own is morbid.

And despicable.

Meanwhile armed Tupamaros roam Venezuela's streets and are called revolutionaries.
