Venezuelan President Maduro outs Otto Reich and Roger Noriega "They want me dead"

Acting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro believes there is a US plot to assassinate him during his election campaign. He called on his followers to be “vigilant” and warned conspirators want to prevent his victory in next week’s election.

Presidential candidate Maduro pointed the finger at the former US Ambassador to Venezuela Otto Reich and the ex-ambassador to the Organization of American States, Roger Noriega, outing them as the driving force behind the conspiracy.

“Their goal is to kill me,” said Maduro on Saturday during an electoral campaign speech in the northern state of Bolivar. He called on his supporters to be on maximum alert, warning that the object of the plot was to increase the homicide rate in cities across Venezuela and cause a blackout ahead of the elections.

“Roger Noriega and Otto Reich are involved, as well as the Salvadorian far right that has contracted hit men,” announced Maduro during his speech. He stressed that they wanted him dead because “they know they cannot beat me in fair elections.”

....

In a recorded conversation between d’Aubuisson and Koch Arana, vague plans are discussed to engage in activities inside Venezuela, and the conversation would also seem to implicate the Capriles campaign in the plans.

Roberto d’Aubuisson: “How are things going down south? You haven’t given me the reports…. Are the reports we are sending you useful?”

David Koch Arana: “I have the reports, but I haven’t sent them to you yet… Supposedly they have informed the Venezuelan government that there are foreigners interfering in the political situation. Capriles has managed to find safe places so that our people can chill. The team already arrived and they are working together. One group is already working in the streets to disorient the vote.

Roberto d’Aubuisson: “Did you tell them that it should be like we worked in the campaign here? Just be careful. Remember that they have offered their support if they win, and that would be good for us. I don’t know how the other groups that we sent from here are working, but I hope they don’t clash with each other or have conflicts, because they don’t know each other. I will talk to them to see how we should organize the operations there.

Jaua said that the full audio of the conversation would be made publicly available in the coming days.

He also assured that they were taking immediate action to find and neutralize the alleged “mercenaries”, and that intelligence forces had been deployed around the country.

“We want to tell the Venezuelan people that they can remain calm. State security forces are after these groups and we hope to identify and neutralize them in the coming days so we can prevent them from generating any turmoil,” he said.

According to Jaua, the plan is part of a larger strategy by the Venezuelan opposition to destabilize the electoral process as a way to delay next week’s elections.

“Remember that just a few days ago some opposition spokespersons suggested to the National Electoral Council (CNE) that the elections should be postponed, because they know that they can’t win on April 14th, so they are trying to buy time,” he said.

Nicolas Maduro also claimed to have evidence of a meeting between a US official and a member of opposition political party Primero Justicia in which they discussed causing blackouts in the eastern state of Bolivar, however further details were not provided.

The Capriles campaign has not commented or responded to any of the allegations.

along with this true killer gallery of monsters, to pull of this new criminality for high stakes. They are all old, dirty, evil hands at this kind of thing, for decades, too. No beginners in the bunch.

Good grief.

Thanks.

Yoani Sanchez meeting with Otto Reich, Noriega and the rest of the gang, and then the idea that D'Aubuisson and Blowtorch are in it too, it's all from the 80s, nothing has changed, infuriating and most Americans don't have a clue about who they are..

6. We can be sure no part of the truth is going to make it to any corporate news source here,
Mon Apr 8, 2013, 05:03 PM
Apr 2013

but sooner or later the truth is GOING to be known about this.

The truth always DOES make it through, although in the case of the U.S. and the citizens who pay for this evil work against true innocents, without our knowledge, of course, (we found we even have ended up paying propagandists like Otto Reich to plant bogus information in the media to keep us completely clue-less, as they make handsome salaries WE PAY to them!) even if it takes decades for the declassified records to finally make it out.

Don't you just love it when the right-wing weasel trolls demand to know where the evidence is for monstrous acts against other governments? They should start keeping an eye looking over their shoulders at times like that, as they are truly tempting fate by being so twisted. All governments, as we all know, NEVER publicize their covert acts, and it takes forever before people learn what they did, long after it's too damned late.

The coolest exception to that #### was when the people of Venezuela somehow learned, in spite of the corporate media news blackout, covered by a thick layer of complete lies, and hidden behind a high-jacked military for protection, they STILL found out in time to pour into the streets, make their way to the presidential quarters and demand the reeking, twisted, dirty criminals release the elected President, and put him back, and NOT murder him after all, before all hell would break loose.

That was an exception.

We all know where the people of the world stand, and it's not with the slimeballs who use every kind of criminality known to mankind to try to control people who are simply none of their business, and their vastly superior betters in every way that counts.

In time, these guys are going to lose it all. We know that. It will happen. It's even prophesied in religion's "Good Books."

They're trying to bring back Carlos Andres Perez in Venezuela. They may end up finding they all have to stuff that larcenous, dirty, dishonest, disloyal piece of trash up their collective kiester.

He already said in an interview that he wanted to seek a special kind of privatization. More room for the boligarchs to dominate Venezuela.
