Guy Dressed As Zombie Saves Cats In Times Square
There’s only one thing that can stop the walking dead: a cat in distress.
A zombie who menaces tourists to promote the house of horror, Times Scare, has become an undead hero after rescuing a black and white cat missing from its cop owner for a stunning two years.
“I dress as a zombie every day and I just love animals — I try to do the right thing,” said Jeremy Zelkowitz, 22, who regularly dons a bloody jacket and ghoulish makeup to promote the tourist attraction on Eighth Ave.
The heartwarming tale began Saturday night around 1 a.m. when Zelkowitz was stalking W. 42nd St. in his usual costumed role reeling in customers to the year-round haunted house.
Over the din of frightened screams from tourists, the Coney Island native noticed a terrified cat risking more than one of his nine lives by darting into traffic.
The frightened feline tried to slip into a Dallas BBQ, Starbucks and a movie theater only to be shooed away.
