2020 CO US Senate Election- How come CO-6 US Rep. Jason Crow was not mentioned as a candidate?

Jason Crow-D was elected to the US House in 2018 against a 5 term Republican incumbent Mike Coffman-R. Crow-D won the 2018 CO-6 US House Election by a double digit margin. Crow-D is an Iraq war veteran and was 1 of the 7 US House Impeachment managers against Trump.
If Jason Crow-D been a Democratic candidate and nominee for the US Senate and got elected, he would be the Democratic version of Tom Cotton(R-AR). Tom Cotton was elected to the US Senate in 2014 after serving 1 term in the US House. Cotton-R unseated a 2 term Democratic US Senator Mark Pryor by a double digit margin. Tom Cotton was also a military veteran.
CO-6 would still remain in the Democratic column. Democratic candidates to succeed Crow-D would be Rhonda Fields- former CO State Representative and Current CO State Senator from Aurora,CO. and Levi Tillimen Dick.

He would be the strongest Democratic candidate for the 2020 CO US Senate Race.
Crow-D is a military veteran(served in Iraq) and a current US Rep. from CO-6cd. CO-6 is a swing district. Crow-D got elected to the US House or Rep. from CO-6 in 2018 by a double digit margin against a high profile Republican incumbent.
I would have prefered Crow-D running for the US Senate and Romanoff-D running for the US House of Rep. from CO-6cd. 2020 is a Democratic friendly election year unlike 2014- the year Romanoff-D lost to Coffman-R. Romanoff-D is not going to face Coffman-R in 2020.
