Capturing Audio/Music from DVDs on a computer

Is there a way to capture audio/music from, say, a DVD onto the computer. I'm trying to rip some songs from DVDs into a digital file but I haven't figured out how to do it but I imagine that there is some way using some kind of software, right? Any advice/software suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

..rip dvds. you have to decode them first so you're looking at a learning curve. an illegal one.

use nero. might as well pirate it, in your case.

you can record "what you hear" as it plays with the sound software that comes with your computer. Many laptops have this function disabled.

If you can't find a sound recorder in the audio software you can use Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/
