Help! I can't figure out on my very old mac how to post a picture.

There is a picture I want to copy and paste that doesn't have a jpg or pdf or any of those picture labels attached to it.

How do I copy it, and paste it on DU? I'm not good at this, so I prolly need a step by step instruction.

Thanks to anyone who can lead me through this!

I believe it uses bandwidth and they want to have the bandwidth for our posts.

I think this is the case, but I'm not sure.

I actually live with someone who could probably answer this, but we seldom talk shop.

If your photo is 100K in size, every time a user wants to see it, 100KB is sent to the user's computer from the server. If 10000 users want to see it, that is 1 billion bytes of data sent from the server. The owners of the server get charged for all that data being sent.

DU does not want to deal with those bills above the text data being sent, so DU does not host pictures.
The sites that do host pictures usually make money by showing ads on their servers.
