UKIP outraged that their candidates' public announcements are repeated in public

Is it just that they don't understand what the internet is; or are they simply the whiniest babies ever to stand for election?

UKIP Slams Tory Election 'Smear Campaign'

But a party spokesman hit back, saying: "UKIP has been subject to a co-ordinated smear campaign.

"We have evidence that Conservative Campaign Head Quarters has been scrutinising each and every one of our 1,732 candidates, monitoring every social media output over the last few years.

"Were we inclined to return the favour, we would find even more examples to use against them.

"We deem that using our candidates as cannon fodder to undermine a political campaign, anti politick, morally reprehensible and downright dirty.

Yes, god forbid that electors get told about what candidates have actually said in public forums online. This from the party who foisted me with a criminal MEP who spent 9 months of his 5 year term in prison, still drawing the MEP salary, because they were hopeless at vetting their candidates (he was committed for trial a couple of months before being elected). Now they want the opinions of their candidates covered up, because allowing us to know what idiots, bigots or criminals they are would be unfair.

The more whining and sniping between the different factions of the Right, the more chance of their being soundly defeated in 2015!

P.S. - yes, I remember Ashley Mote; he was my MEP too. Always thundering on about EU fraud, and the criminal tendencies of immigrants - a bit ironic under the circumstances. Farage eventually kicked him out of the party as an embarrassment, so he joined first an pro-transparency group (ha! ha!) and then, showing his real attitudes, the far-right group that includes LePen et al.

So they might not be used to media coverage that isn't uncritical of UKIP.
