Wisconsin Business Alliance to hold first-ever Lobby Day on 4/17

Posted by Lisa Mux on 10 April 2013, 3:12 pm
The Wisconsin Business Alliance (WBA) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization formed in September of 2012 as an alternative to the powerful (and conservative) Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce group. The member-driven WBA has increased in popularity since its formation, and now, Executive Director Lori Compas has announced WBA’s first-ever Lobby Day. Business owners and independent professionals are invited to the Wisconsin Capitol on 4/17 to make their voices heard on the issues of public education, renewable energy, and broadband access.

Lobby Day will run from 8:30 am until 1:00 pm. Here’s the schedule, from Lori Compas via FB:

8:30 – Registration and social time. Coffee and baked goods provided.
9:00 – Lobbying training on education funding, renewable energy, and broadband access
10:00 – Walk to Capitol
10:30 – noon – Legislator visits, possible press conference
12:30 – Lunch and debrief

Tickets are NOT required for the event, but WBA would like participants to register via Wisconsin Business Alliance’s website, wisconsinbusinessalliance.com or by following this link. Connect with WBA via Facebook and/or twitter, @WIBizAlliance.
