Gohmert says radical Muslims are training to ‘act like Hispanics’ to get into the U.S.
Rep. Louie Gohmert today warned the world that “radical Islamists” are being trained to “act like Hispanic[s]” to get into the United States from Mexico.
“We know al Qaeda has camps over with the drug cartels on the other side of the Mexican border,” the Republican from Tyler said on C-SPAN Wednesday morning. “We know that people that are now being trained to come in and act like Hispanic when they are radical Islamists. We know these things are happening. It is just insane not to protect ourselves, to make sure that people come in as most people do. They want the freedoms we have.”
Gohmert compared the United States to Israel, saying the Middle Eastern nation said “enough” and “built a fence and the rest is a wall to prevent snipers from knocking off their kids. They finally stopped the domestic violence from people that wanted to destroy them. I am concerned we might need to do that as well.”
Gohmert brought up the tragic Boston bombings, saying though officials do not know whether the suspect is foreign or domestic, the incident should reinforce the argument to make sure people come into the U.S. legally.
