There's something the Texas Ethics Advisory Board isn't telling us.
I know it's hard to believe. William Bill Elmer, the 80-year-old chairman of the tea party-linked political action committee, seems to have embraced the Facebook generation's love of oversharing.
In complaints filed last month with the state-run Texas Ethics Commission, the group alleges that Mayor Julián Castro and council members Diego Bernal, Ivy Taylor, Leticia Ozuna, Rey Saldaña, David Medina, Ray Lopez, Cris Medina and Reed Williams have violated sections of the Texas Government Code and Ethics Commission Rules more than 1,000 times.
Meanwhile, the city's two most reliably conservative council members, Elisa Chan and Carlton Soules, skated scot-free.

(1,425 posts)Mostly, one guy who lives in Conroe. He filed ethics commission complaints against at least two Democratic District Judges running for re-election in Nueces County in 2012. I believe this group is targeting at least one of our County Court at Law judges who will be up for re-election in 2014. At least they'll have to pay a fee to view/copy each ethics commission report filed with Nueces County.
