Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick thinks sports fans should be able to attend games as long as some guidelines are in place, he wrote in a Friday opinion piece for The Dallas Morning News.
Lets end all this talk about playing in empty stadiums, Patrick wrote. Let the games begin with fans in the seats.
The lieutenant governor's ideas come a day after Gov. Greg Abbott hinted he may have news of sports facility reopenings in his upcoming Monday press conference, he said in a Thursday KBTX-TV interview. Texas A&M University officials have said it plans to commence fall football.
Patrick laid out a series of proposals outdoor and indoor stadiums could implement to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stadiums should limit fan capacity, implement a social distance seating chart and check everyones temperature when they go through security. If a persons temperature is high, they cant attend the game and should get a refund.

The idea is to not catch it if you can. It's exciting and can be memorable at your memorial because if you are dead, you won! Yay! So much winning in that game.
Get them out there to play.

(7,831 posts)Dan Patrick wants us to die for the sake of the economy...what better way than to crowd people into stadiums to achieve death on a grand scale...it worked well for the Nazi's in France during WWII when they rounded up the Jews...the stadiums were deportation sites with the endgame being extermination camps...I wonder if that's what Dan Patrick has in mind

(28,246 posts)Going way back to when he was a humiliating failure as a TV sportscaster in Houston, then his years as a Limbaugh wannabe on AM hate radio, during which he managed to fail at owning a sports bar, and then, God help us all, politics---where he has been a consistent national embarrassment to us all. None of those professions required a full deck, and Patrick has made the most of it.
